Job description

The role of Stock Controller is a newly created position with the main objective of acting as a key link between Purchasing, Operations, and Warehouse functions. This role involves monitoring stock levels, movements, locations, and strategically managing space and processes. The goal is to continually reduce stock losses, write-offs, and customer/supplier stock queries year on year.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and possess strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Main Responsibilities
  • Compare received items against ordered items and ensure proper receipt and management of incoming stock.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of outgoing orders to ensure shipment accuracy and correct stock records.
  • Investigate, address, and resolve discrepancies, inaccuracies, and mistakes.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in stock quantities and locations.
  • Assist in developing the company’s stock management strategy to reduce losses, obsolete stock, and optimize inventory and space.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management to ensure proper stock arrangement for efficiency.
  • Perform system testing to identify and resolve data integrity issues.
  • Manage and execute planned stock takes and cyclic stock checks.
  • Minimize obsolete stock and ensure its removal.
