Qualifications

  • CA(SA) with 2–4 years post-articles experience.
  • Investment banking or banking experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Reserve Bank regulations; strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities

  • Support statutory reporting and submission of financial statements for RMB/FRG entities.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports in line with applicable standards.
  • Process journal entries and prepare reconciliations.
  • Complete statutory returns including VAT and government statistics; assist with taxation.
  • Drive audit findings resolution and ensure quality implementation.
  • Log issues/incidents and drive action plans.
  • Engage stakeholders to manage SLA deliverables.
  • Support internal/external audits and tax inspections.
  • Prepare basic financial data for Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and local legislation.
  • Provide timely, accurate financial information to regulators, auditors, investors and others.
  • Be flexible to late hours when required.
  • Contribute ideas to improve established processes.
  • Coordinate with multiple senior stakeholders and deliver high-quality outputs.

Job Description

To support the statutory reporting activities and the submission of financial statements for RMB/FRG entities. Preparing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting as required, in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Are you someone who can:

  • Provide Statutory Reporting Services to the organization that will result in its non-disruptive operation.
  • Prepare annual financial statements for RMB/FRG entities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial and accounting records.
  • Process journal entries and prepare reports and reconciliations.
  • Complete statutory returns including but not limited to VAT and government statistical reports, provisional and year end taxation.
  • Drive compliance to audit findings and ensure quality implementation.
  • Ensure that issues and incidents are logged, driving implementation of actions.
  • Facilitate appropriate stakeholder engagements to manage service level agreement (SLA) deliverables.
  • Support internal and external audits and tax inspections Prepare basic financial data for Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Ensure implementation and understanding of the financial policies and procedures in compliance with local legislation and the company rules.
  • Ensure compliance to finance standards and practices.
  • Support financial statement preparation.
  • Report accurate, complete and timely financial information to a wide and diverse number of regulators, auditors, carriers, investors and other partners.
  • Be flexible to random working hours, particularly late hours.
  • Bring new ideas and innovative ideas to established process.
  • Manage multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Produce consistently high-quality outputs within agreed deadlines.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
  • Qualified CA(SA) 2 – 4 years post articles experience
  • Investment banking environment preferred / Banking experience
  • Practical capital markets and other financial instruments background / knowledge Have IFRS and Reserve Bank regulations experience Highly analytical individual and enjoys research report writing Forward thinking and have good memory
