Job description

Position Overview:

Join EnerMech as a Statutory Accountant and be part of our dedicated finance team. In this role, you will oversee the compliance matters across the AMEC region, including statutory audits and tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Lead on AMEC audit process for outstanding entity, preparing IFRS accounts across multiple countries.
  • Liaise with external auditors, manager queries and ensure timely delivery of audit requirements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure project compliance with tax, IFRS accounting standards, and legal requirements delivering returns in line with local and regional deadlines.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • ·Assist the Finance Manager and wider Finance Department as required.
  • Qualified Accountant (CA (SA), CIMA, ACCA)
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Statutory Accounting.
  • In-depth IFRS knowledge and ability to produce high-quality technical papers.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organisational skills and a process-led mindset.
  • Able to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Business Partnering with key stakeholders
  • Experience working with integrated ERP business management systems
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in a multinational business in Africa

  • Exposure to fast paced organizational change
  • Able to adapt to workload
