A leading company is seeking a Station Stay Manager Couple to oversee hospitality operations at Cheela Plains Station Stay. The role involves managing staff, guest services, and facilities while ensuring a high standard of hospitality. POSITION SUMMARY
The Station Stay Manager couple work together to manage:
· Hospitality staff
· Guest reservations, services and correspondence
· Marketing
· HSE polcies
· Facilities
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The positions report to the Managing Directors and work directly with 9 to 11 other station stay staff. All station stay hospitality staff report to the Managers.
EXPERIENCE
Essential
· 12 months experience managing a team of 4 or more employees
· 6 months work experience with online guest reservations and correspondence
· 6 months minimum hospitality work experience, i.e. housekeeping, kitchen hand, café service, barista, reception
· Prior facility management and maintenance experience.
· Prior experience creating staff rosters.
Desirable
· Prior experience working in a remote location.
· Experienced with a variety of IT systems such as online reservation systems, maintaining web site, social media, etc.

DUTIES (include but are not limited to):
Staff Management
· Oversee hospitality staff to perform these duties. The managers are also expected to be rostered for the duties below alongside the hospitality staff.
· Make sandwiches and packed lunches
· Assist chefs with food preparation
· Serve in café
· Serve dinner guests
· Wash dishes
· Service and clean guest rooms and tents
· Wash laundry
· Water and mow lawns
· Maintain clean and tidy workspace across all areas of work
· Experience and interest dependent, duties may include guest check-ins/administration and general maintenance
· Create and set rosters staff rosters
· Facilities Management
· Maintain buildings and gardens to current standard
· Redevelopment and improvements of buildings and grounds
· Manage machinery breakdown and repairs
Guest Reservations and Marketing
· Manage incoming guest reservations and correspondence
· Maintain on-line booking engine sites
· Maintain website
· Maintain listings on various trade websites
· Social Media posts
Ordering/Stocktake
· Oversee supply ordering, stocktake and wastage
Menu Planning
· Liaise with chefs and owner on suitable menus
Shop Merchandise
· Manage stock of limited branded merchandise
Banking
· Record guest payments and manage til
Flexibility in your roles is appreciated as various other duties may arise you may be required for. We are open to tourists from 1 April to October 12, 2025, but remain open for corporate guests year-round which may include mining company exploration and rehabilitation crews, road workers, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS
· Excellent English (written and verbal).
· Ability to create a positive impression with a professional and courteous manner.
· Competent typing skills.
· Strong administration skills – organised, thorough, systems-orientated with attention to detail.
· Ability to lead a team to create a safe and comfortable work environment for employees.
· Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
· Competent use of smart phone for various apps supporting the role.
· Excellent customer service skills with an ability to work with a wide range of clients.
PREFERENCES
We prefer our employees to be non-smokers, in a good measure of health and capable of lifting items up to 16 kg with ease. Due to the remote isolated area of Cheela Plains, information pertaining to pre-existing medical conditions such as Type 1 or 2 Diabetes, pre-existing back injury, etc is appreciated.
