Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric plus relevant Certificate in Hospitality Management
- 1 year experience within the hospitality environment
- A minimum of 6 months’ restaurant supervision or related field
Key Responsibilities
- Compile daily rosters for all front of house staff
- Hold regular staff briefing sessions
- Ensure all staff are correctly and smartly dressed, offering professional and courteous service
- Conduct regular checks on the POS system for menu prices and ensure timely updates for any price increases
- Maintain profit margins through effective control systems, including issuing against dockets, sales analysis, menu costing, and cash checks
- Ensure prompt and efficient service of all food & beverages to set standards
- Ensure all food & beverage orders are placed on time with the central warehouse
- Maintain maximum security, especially during cash-ups
- Adhere to hygiene standards set by the company and statutory regulations
- Address customer complaints promptly
- Identify training needs and ensure effective training
- Conduct daily, mid-month, and month-end stock takes
- Regularly test staff performance in front and back of house roles
- Attend required meetings
- Implement regular on-the-job training to meet standards
- Manage cash, banking, and float controls
- Perform administrative and management duties
