About the Role
Lyra Health is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our multicultural team.
In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining complex Salesforce solutions that hold the case data of 20 clinicians operating in over countries.
You will work as part of a dedicated team in partnership with colleagues in South Africa, the UK, and the US, and will collaborate with stakeholders, lead technical teams, and ensure the effective delivery of high-quality solutions. This role can be carried out from our Johannesburg, SA office, hybrid, or fully remote/virtually.
Remote candidates must be physically located within South Africa. Ideally, candidates would be able to attend pre-planned onsite meetings on occasion (Johannesburg).
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design scalable and maintainable Salesforce architectures, considering performance, security, and scalability factors.
- Custom Development: Develop custom Salesforce components using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other relevant technologies. Create integrations with external systems using APIs, middleware, and other integration tools. Optimize Salesforce performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and technologies. Identify opportunities for process improvement and technological innovation. Contribute to the development of reusable components and frameworks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce development.
- 2+ years experience leading the efforts of junior developers.
- Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and other relevant Salesforce technologies.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security.
- Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Workato, Jitterbit).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and development tools (e.g., Git, Jira).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (preferred).
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (preferred).
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (Nice-to-have).
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect (Nice-to-have).
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Sales or Service Cloud Consultant).
- Experience working in an international company would be a plus.
- Experience working in a healthcare company would be a plus.
