Position Overview
We are hiring a Sr Manager, HRBP who will work a hybrid schedule out of our Valhalla, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver core people and capability programs, including talent and performance management, year-end compensation planning, and workforce planning within a business line.
- Oversee a facility and/or manage 1+ HR staff members.
- Act as a primary contact with COEs on program delivery issues and customizations.
- Coach managers and employees on development, employee relations, and reward issues.
- Participate in wellness initiatives and onboarding activities.
- Share local intelligence and provide a "field perspective" on program effectiveness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the local labor market and regulatory environment.
- Assist in facilitating performance management tools and processes.
- Identify training and development needs.
- Drive engagement initiatives.
- Partner with Managers on staffing and retention strategies.
- Ensure job descriptions are current and maintained.
- Act as an LMS Administrator.
- Participate in the interview process.
- Partner with business units to optimize employee capabilities.
- Handle restructuring activities, legal reviews, and termination meetings.
- Support employee recognition programs.
- Support HR trends and talent management agendas.
- Lead restructuring activities to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Prepare legal review documentation and participate in termination meetings.
- Develop and implement employee retention strategies.
- Assist in organizational assessment, structure, and change management.
- Model company culture and ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Manage a team of HR staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and discipline.
Required Skills / Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 8 years of experience in an HRBP or HR Manager role.
- Understanding of HR processes (talent management, engagement, relations, onboarding, training).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Must be able to travel.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training is a plus.
