Job description

Position Overview

We are hiring a Sr Manager, HRBP who will work a hybrid schedule out of our Valhalla, NY office.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and deliver core people and capability programs, including talent and performance management, year-end compensation planning, and workforce planning within a business line.
  2. Oversee a facility and/or manage 1+ HR staff members.
  3. Act as a primary contact with COEs on program delivery issues and customizations.
  4. Coach managers and employees on development, employee relations, and reward issues.
  5. Participate in wellness initiatives and onboarding activities.
  6. Share local intelligence and provide a "field perspective" on program effectiveness.
  7. Serve as a subject matter expert on the local labor market and regulatory environment.
  8. Assist in facilitating performance management tools and processes.
  9. Identify training and development needs.
  10. Drive engagement initiatives.
  11. Partner with Managers on staffing and retention strategies.
  12. Ensure job descriptions are current and maintained.
  13. Act as an LMS Administrator.
  14. Participate in the interview process.
  15. Partner with business units to optimize employee capabilities.
  16. Handle restructuring activities, legal reviews, and termination meetings.
  17. Support employee recognition programs.
  18. Support HR trends and talent management agendas.
  19. Lead restructuring activities to ensure fairness and consistency.
  20. Prepare legal review documentation and participate in termination meetings.
  21. Develop and implement employee retention strategies.
  22. Assist in organizational assessment, structure, and change management.
  23. Model company culture and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  24. Manage a team of HR staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and discipline.

Required Skills / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in an HRBP or HR Manager role.
  • Understanding of HR processes (talent management, engagement, relations, onboarding, training).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with public speaking.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Must be able to travel.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training is a plus.
