Sr. Engineer Construction Specialist

Please note this position is based in the Middle East.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer / Construction Specialist with extensive experience in Oil and Gas Project Management Engineering, especially in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) phases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, supported by technical qualifications and a professional demeanor. This role will focus on supporting projects in the Jafurah field and ensuring their successful execution in line with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage construction activities for Oil and Gas projects, focusing on the Jafurah Project.
2. Oversee the EPC phases of projects, including engineering, material procurement, and construction management, ensuring compliance with all technical and safety requirements.
3. Provide technical support for project execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any project-related issues.
5. Develop and implement construction schedules, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
6. Ensure construction processes are performed in compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
7. Review and approve engineering and construction documents, including drawings, plans, and reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
8. Facilitate effective communication among all project team members and stakeholders, both internal and external.
9. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and construction personnel, ensuring a high level of performance across the team.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience :

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Construction Engineer, with at least 5 years in Oil and Gas projects.
2. Extensive experience in the EPC phases of projects, with a focus on construction management.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale Oil and Gas projects, preferably in the Jafurah Project or similar environments.
4. Experience with project management processes, including procurement, construction scheduling, and cost management.

Skills :

1. Strong technical knowledge of Oil and Gas construction engineering and project management.
2. PMP certification is preferred.
3. Advanced technical and soft skills, including strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
5. Ability to present a professional and well-presented demeanor at all times.
6. Familiarity with industry-specific software for construction management and project planning.
