Zensar Technologies is looking for SQL DBA in Johannesburg

Experience

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in complex SQL Server administration and production support environments.

Exposure to database performance tuning, query optimization, and identifying opportunities for proactive performance improvements will be highly advantageous. Experience in automating routine DBA activities using PowerShell, T-SQL, or similar technologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort is considered a strong plus.

Knowledge of Cloud based DB solutions (Azure & AWS).

Personal Attributes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive mindset, ownership-driven approach, and effective communication skills are essential. The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with technical teams, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior team members where required.

Nice to Have

Experience supporting large enterprise or banking environments, exposure to cloud-based database platforms and migration initiatives, and a track record of driving automation and operational excellence within database services teams.
