Job description

Role Description : Ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration, and ensuring uptime of the Microsoft SQL Server environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring reliability, performance, and security of database infrastructure to support business-critical applications and operations.Duties and Responsibilities : Responsible for maintaining and optimizing SQL Server databases, including index rebuilding, statistics updates, and integrity checks.Manage configuration and performance tuning through replication, clustering, mirroring, partitioning, and data compression, using tools such as SQL Profiler, DMVs, and Extended Events.Oversee high availability setups including Always on Availability Groups and SQL Server Clusters.Handle troubleshooting and incident resolution related to faults, crashes, and performance issues.Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery strategies.Ensure security and compliance with data protection standards.Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and T-SQL.Educational & Skill Requirements : A Bachelors Degree in computer science / information technology.A SQL Server Certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate, and Microsoft Certified : SQL Server Database Administrator).Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
