About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sports Facility Manager to oversee the operations of a premier sports complex in Polokwane. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the facility, including maintenance, staffing, event coordination, and ensuring a safe and positive environment for all users. This leadership role requires strong operational acumen, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage budgets effectively while upholding the highest standards of facility upkeep and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of sports facility operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and cleaning.
• Oversee and train facility staff, including maintenance personnel, customer service representatives, and event coordinators.
• Coordinate and manage the setup and execution of sporting events, tournaments, and other facility rentals.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.
• Develop and manage the facility's operational budget, seeking cost-effective solutions.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in a sports or recreational setting.
• Proven experience in staff supervision and budget management.
• Knowledge of facility maintenance best practices, safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
