Overview

Sports Assistant – Secondary School in the High Peak area. This role supports autistic students in a small high school that caters for children with Autism and Social/Emotional needs.

Role: Sports Assistant

Start: ASAP

Pay: £100-£115/day (PAYE, based on experience)

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4pm

What you'll do
  • Support PE lessons and run activities that get students moving, have fun, and feel good about themselves.
  • Work in groups or one-to-one, help with behaviour, and encourage positive attitudes through sport.
  • Be flexible and assist with other lessons as needed.
Who we're looking for
  • Someone who loves sport and enjoys working with young people with additional needs.
  • Patience, understanding, and a can-do attitude are essential.
  • Experience with autistic students is a plus but not essential.
What you need
  • A CV covering your last 10 years
  • At least 3 months\' experience supporting young people
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Photo ID and proof of address
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Two recent references
  • Passion for helping young people thrive
