Job summary

MOTUS MAHINDRA PAARL is seeking a qualified Specialist Technician to join the Service Department for the launch of our new dealership opening on 01 September 2026. You will diagnose, repair and maintain customer vehicles to manufacturer standards with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The role requires strong diagnostic abilities, a commitment to outstanding workmanship and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician with a recognised trade qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience as an Automotive Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Clear criminal record.
• Previous dealership experience or manufacturer training is advantageous.
• Mahindra/automotive brand experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain customer vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Perform routine servicing, inspections and maintenance.
• Complete repair orders and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain workshop safety and orderliness.

About the Opportunity

Motus Mahindra Paarl is seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Technician to join our Service Department for the launch of our new dealership opening on 01 September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining customer vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring high levels of quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent diagnostic abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Accurately identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults.
• Conduct routine vehicle servicing, inspections and maintenance activities.
• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Recommend appropriate repair solutions and additional maintenance requirements.
• Complete all repair orders, job cards and supporting documentation accurately and timeously.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs meet dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Maintain workshop equipment, tools and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Assist Service Advisors with technical explanations and repair recommendations when required.
• Communicate effectively with workshop management regarding vehicle status and repair progress.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and dealership procedures.
• Participate in technical training and remain current with new vehicle technologies and systems.
• Support the achievement of workshop productivity and efficiency targets.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Automotive Technician with a recognised trade qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience as an Automotive Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Clear criminal record.

Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience within a franchised dealership environment.
• Manufacturer certification or specialist technical training.
• Experience working on Mahindra or other automotive brands.
• Diagnostic system and advanced fault-finding experience.
