Specialist : Technical Trainer

Job Overview

To design, develop, customize, facilitate, assess, and provide feedback on technical training for all technical staff within the Daimler Truck Southern Africa Dealer Network, ensuring compliance with the company's Integrity & Anti-Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy, and S.H.E. standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare training by identifying the scope of technical training for external stakeholders and customizing it to the South African context, including legislation, business specifications, and requirements.
2. Apply specific training methodologies and facilitate DTSA technical training courses effectively.
3. Conduct learner assessments both practically and theoretically before, during, and after interventions, including during assessment centers as required.
4. Complete summaries of results, compile trainer reports, and submit them after each course.
5. Follow up to ensure qualification certificates are issued promptly where required.
6. Develop SOPs and Quick Reference Guides aligned with Global WPC standards and obtain sign-off from the dealer Training Academy Portfolio Head.
7. Comply with all DTSA policies, rules, and regulations to maintain the company's reputation.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Maintenance & Systems Technician. Diagnostic Technician certification is an advantage.
• Training Certificate or Diploma in ETD or equivalent; a Degree in HR or related field is an advantage.
• 3-5 years of training and technical automotive experience.
• 1-2 years of Mercedes-Benz Trucks DTAC experience is an advantage.

Additional Knowledge and Information
