We're Hiring: Specialist – Risk (Regulatory Reporting)

Location: Hybrid

Duration: 3–4 months (Contract)

Business Unit: Regulatory Reporting

We are looking for a highly skilled Regulatory Reporting Specialist with strong experience in BA700 and BA610 returns, and Non-Current Asset (NCA) calculations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical individual with a strong regulatory background and proven ability to manage stakeholder interactions, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a rigorous audit trail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly and quarterly collation and preparation of NCA calculations for the BA700 return.
• Prepare and submit “Other Assets” calculations for ARO countries, supporting the BA610 return.
• Investigate and report monthly variances for Bank Solo and quarterly variances for Absa Group Limited.
• Resolve queries related to “Other Assets” reporting for ARO.
• Attend internal meetings to identify regulatory changes affecting calculations (e.g., Basel IV) and adjust accordingly.
• Maintain accurate audit trails and all necessary supporting documentation.
• Manage deadlines and regulatory timelines effectively.
• Uphold governance standards, risk controls, and compliance practices.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Regulatory Reporting Experience: 3–5 years in a banking/financial institution environment.
• Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in advanced formulas and pivot tables.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with internal stakeholders and auditors.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage expectations and requirements from cross-functional teams.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple deliverables with precision under tight timelines.
• Audit Readiness: Experience in maintaining documentation that supports regulatory scrutiny.

Beneficial Skills (Desired but not Mandatory):

• Qlik Sense experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of changes in regulatory requirements such as Basel IV.
