Role Purpose / Business Unit :

  • The Specialist Retail Business Analytics supports the Retail Operations and Branded Channels team by managing commercial and operational reporting systems and control improvements, focusing on the retail channel and providing recommendations to enhance risk mitigation and information channels.
  • Designs, executes, and maintains tailored channel performance dashboards with the data analytics team to measure channel performance and KPIs.
  • Consolidates large data reports and develops strategic business cases for informed decision-making.
  • Provides a consolidated reporting view for retail projects and enablement.
  • Manages Property Steerco information to support decision-making, aligning Regional heads, Franchise, and Retail Operations on store leases, proposals, closures, and resizing.
  • Reviews systems to optimize functionality for accurate commercial reporting.
  • Delivers monthly and ad-hoc reports to support retail operations, aiding strategic goals.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Maintaining Retail Business Support Models and recommending improvements.
  • Designing and analyzing channel profitability models.
  • Reporting and analyzing foot traffic (Qnomy) and appointment bookings.
  • Providing insights on Vodacom World Store trading and management overrides.
  • Consolidating Vodacom Store reports.
  • Contributing to TNPS, NPS, FTF, EFF reporting and commentary.
  • Managing monthly turnover processes for branded stores and landlord declarations.
  • Supporting annual turnover working papers.
  • Maintaining lease renewal and store repositories.
  • Managing Vodacom World Events dashboard and reports.
  • Inputting data for Property Steerco decision frameworks, especially regarding lease agreements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Creating and delivering reports and key information on channel performance for management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating data report planning and building with data analytics teams.

The ideal candidate for this role will have :

  • Matric or equivalent.
  • Relevant 3-year degree/diploma.
  • Background in Data Science and Statistics.
  • 2-3 years in Commercial Business Support or Data Analytics.
  • Telecommunications experience is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work long hours and cross-train in other divisions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • SQL skills are beneficial.
