Overview

Specialist : Quality Assurance – Insurance sector (Long-term)

Location : Pretoria

Salary : R25 000-00 upwards (negotiable)

Our client is looking for a Specialist : Quality Assurance. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring the products or services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance

Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Interpret and implement quality assurance standards; Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards; Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data; Plan testing and inspection of systems; Conduct and monitor testing and inspection of systems and products to ensure finished product quality; Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities; Investigate customer complaints and nonconformance issues; Collect and compile statistical quality data; Analyse data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system; Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities; Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers; Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions; Identify training needs and inform relevant stakeholders for training interventions required for business to meet quality standards
  • Helpdesk Support: Complete all valid helpdesk within reasonable time; Provide application support on all IT in-house systems to business; Assist with adhoc support to the BI, Development and Project Management teams as and when required
Requirements
  • a. IT related degree / diploma
  • b. Certification Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate
  • c. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
  • d. Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (advantage)
  • e. 3 years’ experience in IT Development
  • f. 1-year experience in long term insurance industry (advantage)
  • g. Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience (advantage)
  • h. Experience with implementation of corrective action programs (advantage)
