Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in product cost estimation and analysis within a pricing environment or a similar role, preferably in the Automotive or Short-term Insurance Industry
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and pricing software or tools.
- Financial modelling and analytical skills
- Proficiency in SQL or similar data management skills
- Knowledge of techniques used or modern technology tools for analysing data and implementing pricing initiatives.
Position Description
- Develop, maintain and implement optimal pricing models
- Determine and set pricing for all regulated and non-regulated products to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability.
- Evaluate the cause of loss ratios and other relevant factors to provide recommendations and assumptions for pricing models.
- Obtain and research relevant information to be incorporated into pricing strategies.
- Present data analytics and provide recommendations to management.
- Support and assist in various ad-hoc projects as needed
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with pricing strategies and models.
- Ensure that all pricing decisions comply with internal risk management policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and incorporate them into pricing strategies and methodologies.
- Understand the overall business and drive a customer service culture within the organization.
- Support and drive the new business process in alignment with internal and external requirements.
- Ensure deliverables are met as agreed in SLAs
- Adhere to and promote a positive customer experience for both internal and external customers.
- Create a culture of ownership and accountability throughout the organisation in support of our company values
- Continuously track product and client profitability and detailed tracking of the revenue and costs by understanding of all the levers of profitability and executing appropriately to pull these levers.
- Governance & Controls: Adhere to Pricing Governance Framework, including processes and required sign-off.
Job Summary
The Pricing Specialist is responsible for researching, analysing, updating, and monitoring all pricing and data relevant to Vehicle Warranty, Service and Maintenance value add products. To develop and maintain pricing models and construct and review Product Pricing, Revenues, Costs and overall competitiveness and profitability.
Education
- BSc (Actuarial Mathematics) / BSc (Actuarial Science) or similar degree and registered with a recognised actuarial institute. Core Principles: CT1-CT9/A100's; A200's and A401/CM1-2;CB1-3;CS1-2
Preferred
- Completed at least two Core Practice Modules CA1/ (A301), and/or preferably one Specialist Principles examination F103/ST3 General Insurance or ST8/SP8 General Insurance Pricing
