What will you do?
Key Outcomes
  • Maintain controls to mitigate risks.
  • Manage fund/product bank accounts, including handling insufficient funds.
  • Ensure quality output, efficiency, and deadlines are met.
  • Review SARB reporting for allocated funds within 2 months.
  • Complete and sign off bank reconciliations as per procedure.
  • Resolve queries to FSCA within 30 days.
  • Check and authorize reconciliations and payment of administration fees.
  • Verify asset/liability reconciliations and client reports.
  • Ensure no PI claims are lodged.
  • Authorize adhoc payments within 2 working days.
  • Check and submit cash analyses as required.
  • Review monthly policy fund consolidations within 15 days post-quarter.
  • Monitor daily investment/disinvestment instructions.
  • Drive strategic projects to improve business efficiency.
  • Maintain controls to ensure 100% internal audit compliance.
  • Authorize and sign disinvestment instructions.
  • Update SharePoint for management and business.
  • Manage staff training and development.
  • Reconcile trial balances and financial statements.
  • Conduct bi-annual appraisals.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and supply chain.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve issues and meet SLAs.
  • Manage client expectations and mitigate risks.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Matric
  • Finance/Accounting Degree/Diploma (NQF 6) or related
  • 5-6 years’ retirement fund accounting experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ management experience
  • Experience with accounting packages (Compass/Khanya advantageous)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Financial statement experience (advantageous)

  • Grade 12 with 3-5 years’ related experience.
  • Knowledge of financial transactions, reconciliations, and compliance.
