The primary responsibility of the position is to consult with clients' design leads on various projects and collaborate with internal teams to create strategies and project plans addressing business needs.

The candidate should be able to provide multi-disciplinary advice on all aspects of infrastructure and related technology components for Data Centre and Industrial projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to driving the design and costing teams to identify and evaluate alternative architectures, considering cost, performance, and scalability trade-offs.
  2. Support programs or projects by assisting clients in preparing technical plans and applying design principles that align with enterprise and solution architecture standards.
  3. Understand client requirements, analyze designs, and proactively assist in problem resolution.
  4. Provide technical oversight of detailed design drawings and specifications for Data Centre components, ratings, and interfaces, including reviewing designs presented by technical teams.
  5. Ensure the design team uses appropriate modeling techniques following agreed architectures, standards, and methodologies.
  6. Assist the client's project manager and quantity surveyor as a technical advisor.
  7. Contribute to the commercial assessment of projects from pre-feasibility to construction phases.
  8. Assist with contract management of contractors and discipline-specific subcontractors.
  9. Support procurement processes for Owner Furnished Capital Equipment.
  10. Attend technical design reviews and monitor emerging technologies through external environment analysis.
  11. Conduct site visits as needed to support project success, including critical stages of projects.
  12. Review contractor documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and leverage knowledge of reference architectures.
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in relevant technology domains.
  • Experience in project or program management is preferred.
  • Data Centre experience and training are beneficial.
  • Proven client engagement and consulting experience, including needs assessment and change management.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years in Design Management, with at least 10 years overall experience.
  • University Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing mission-critical or similar high-tech industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, energy, oil and gas, manufacturing).
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams, preferably in a leadership role.
  • International experience, including working on projects outside the home country and living abroad, is preferred.
