Position: Claims Advisory - Specialist (Johannesburg)

Key Responsibilities

• Review incoming documentation for guidance or advice
• Identify policies and coverages, validate and seek clarification as needed
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, third parties, and insurers for updates and information
• Support procedural guidance and facilitate information requests
• Provide status updates and follow-up on escalations
• Generate and validate claims reports from internal systems
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and professional policies
• Build and sustain effective relationships with stakeholders
• Ensure records are up-to-date and manage workloads to meet deadlines
• Manage claims portfolios and escalations appropriately
• Keep relevant parties informed of potential issues or contentious claims
• Handle outstanding claims in accordance with professional standards

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge of insurance and claims handling
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Strong numerical and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Problem-solving skills
• Previous insurance studies are advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 2 years of experience in insurance claims, preferably commercial claims
• Ability to handle work pressures and client demands
• High client service orientation
• Drive for personal growth and development
• Strong work ethic and team player attitude
