Specialist AC Process Executor for ABSA Regional Offices (ARO). Key responsibilities include Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining effective relationships; People Management: Developing a high-performing team; Risk and Control: Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
Job Description
Accountability: Manage financial information completion process (60%)
- Act as a process executor for the completion of financial information, including:
• Journals and month-end close
• Reconciliation
• Completion of supplementary information
• Intercompany and elimination processes
• Tax-related activities
• Accounting functions
- Support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on processes, resolving issues, and addressing ad hoc stakeholder requests, including:
• Cluster Financial Controller
• Cluster CFO/BP&A team members
• Other financial control functions
- Assist SMEs with obtaining TAG opinions and handling ad hoc accounting queries;
- Implement new standardized processes where relevant;
- Provide feedback on financial system results and identify potential risks;
- Proactively address issues and establish sustainable processes;
- Ensure compliance with the Financial Control Operating Model principles.
- Maintain and enhance processes:
• Identify areas for improvement to support quality and accuracy in completion, review, and submission processes.
• Seek synergies across reporting processes and implement enhancements.
Accountability: Support to other process executors through motivation and employee engagement (20%)
- Manage team dynamics to maximize performance;
- Escalate resource allocation issues to ensure team objectives are met;
- Coach and mentor team members for continuous development.
Accountability: Process Execution (20%)
- Execute processes as designed;
- Continuously review and improve activities for efficiency and effectiveness;
- Recommend improvements to reduce cycle times and enhance customer satisfaction;
- Assist in implementing new or improved processes;
- Identify and mitigate activity-specific risks;
- Maintain awareness of how activities impact related processes.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Financial Sciences or equivalent (Required)
