This role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo.

Job responsibilities

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Plan and coordinate transport related activities.
• Liaise and communicate effectively with foreman/Supervisor
• Monitor vehicles and surface mobile equipment
• Inspection reports on vehicles and mobile equipment
• Feedback-end of shift
• Attend Safety meetings
• Operational requests safely and productively resolved
• Daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and reports to supervisor
• Pre-work assessment/job risk analysis for any out of ordinary tasks (e.g. abnormal loads, heavy lifts)
• Root cause analysis on all accidents/incidents
• Ensure available and reliable vehicle and mobile equipment
• Vehicle and equipment familiarization
• Knowledge in (Road traffic legislation, Laws and standards, Health and environmental policies

This role is at a B7 level reporting to the Foreman Mechanical.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Valid Professional Drivers Permit (PrDP) with ability to operate goods, passenger and dangerous goods and class of vehicles
• Code EC driver’s license

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Specialised Mobile Equipment/ Heavy Mobile Equipment operator.
