The educational and counselling psychologist will form a part of the multi-disciplinary team at Arcadia and Jewish Community Services (JCS).
The purpose of the psychologist will be to provide therapeutic support to clients of Arcadia and JCS including conducting psycho-educational, subject and career assessments, individual therapy, and family therapy.
The incumbent will consult with therapeutic staff across the organization as required and assist HR with EAP sessions as needed.

Multidisciplinary Team
The psychologist would work in collaboration with social workers from the Chev Community Social Services as well as social workers and child and youth care workers from Arcadia.
He / she will participate in case conferences, family meetings, and the development of individual development plans.
Assist with EAP sessions for staff of the organization for the Human Resources Department.
Consult with all therapeutic staff across the Chev group as required for clients, beneficiaries, and residents.

Attend team meetings as required.
Attend consultation with Brenda Lasersohn monthly and supervisors nominated by the organization.
Meet with stakeholders and relevant professionals internal and external to the organization as it pertains to the client, beneficiary, or resident's needs.
Conduct school liaison duties.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Masters Degree in Psychology
Registered with HPCSA
5-10 years' experience in a similar role
Preferred Skills
Ability to work with a wide range of challenges experienced by persons of all ages, predominantly children and parents.
Ability to build rapport with resistant clients.
Excellent boundaries.
