Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Special Education Teacher for our Port Elizabeth campus to support students with diverse learning needs. You will develop and implement IEPs and collaborate with therapists, teachers, and families to promote individualized growth.

The role emphasizes empathy, patience and strong communication while tracking progress, maintaining records, and applying tailored instructional strategies to help students reach their academic and personal potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's preferred.
• Valid South African teaching qualification with a specialization in Special Education.
• Experience working with students across disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, ADHD, autism).
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and behavior management strategies.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patience when working with students and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to students, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
