We are seeking a seasoned Investment Banker to provide strategic financial advisory and transaction execution services to clients navigating distressed and special situations within the Corporate & Investment Bank (including Commercial Property Finance, Markets, and Transactional Banking). The ideal candidate will have specialist knowledge in managing CIB clients facing financial distress, with experience in distressed asset management strategies. Excellent solutioning, restructuring, negotiation skills, and the ability to operate under pressure are essential. Candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant experience, holding a CA/LLB or similar qualification. Deep knowledge of CIB lending, trade products, corporate finance, and capital raising (debt and equity) is required.
This position is for the Head of East and West Africa within the Special Asset Management team. The role involves working closely with distressed companies, their Boards and Executive Committees, creditors, investors, and other stakeholders to develop and execute restructuring and turnaround strategies. The Specialist Investment Banker will be responsible for solutioning, negotiating, and delivering complex financial restructures that optimize outcomes for all parties while minimizing risk and aligning returns with the risk profile.
Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies are required.
