How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

In this position, the incumbent is responsible for managing Equipment and Gas Sales, GM's in line with Annual Sales Budget and OI targets.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Manage the TESCOM brand and relationship to ensure we meet their targets and manage our stock holding.
  2. Coordinate the entire Tescom supply chain and ensure % Equipment and Installations (E & I) customer satisfaction.
  3. Develop new business: new customers, new markets, new applications, new geographies - identify new opportunities.
  4. Grow and develop existing business/repeat sales by supporting the regional sales team, contractors, and existing customer base.
  5. Train, support, and develop Specialty Gas internal sales consultants and regional sales team.
  6. Manage pricing policy within ALPTY guidelines.
  7. Compile market intelligence.
  8. Complete tenders.
  9. Prepare and present Sales Reports & Presentations if required.
  10. Involve in annual sales targets.
  11. Assist Debtors with account management to ensure DSO targets are met.
  12. Ensure all AL policies and procedures are implemented.
  13. Identify key accounts within SA and develop strategy.
  14. Monitor and network key accounts daily for Air Liquide value.
  15. Drive Specialty Gas E & I Sales growth.
  16. Manage new E & I Business Development and identify new opportunities.
  17. Manage % GM.
  18. Manage Tescom account, relationship, and stock levels.

Are you a MATCH?

Educational requirements:

  • Education: Engineering / Sales and Marketing Degree.
  • Valid driver's license.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of Gas Products & Equipment sales experience, as the skills required are very specific to Special Gases and their application.
  • Experience in specialty gases and equipment will be advantageous.
  • Proven strong track record of sales excellence exceeding targets is essential.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Prepared to travel extensively in SA.
  • Large customer interaction.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge and know-how specific to the job.
  • Strong technical/sales aptitude, understand gas applications, i.e., gas type, pipeline material, gas pressure, flow rate, etc.
  • Strong gas product knowledge, properties, and valve types.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&ID.
  • Experienced in commercial policies and operations.
  • Gas Safety and Awareness.
  • Market assessments.
  • Key account assessment.
