Job summary

Pro Talent is seeking an experienced Spare Parts Manager to oversee the daily operations of a parts department, drive sales growth, manage inventory, and lead a high-performing team in Johannesburg.

You will be responsible for stock levels, procurement, quotations, orders and returns, while maintaining profitability and service levels.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership, and a passion for customer service with relevant parts-management experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in spare parts management, preferably within automotive, commercial vehicle, truck, bus, or dealership industry.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of stock control, procurement, and parts sales.
• Computer literacy and experience with inventory or dealership management systems.
• A relevant qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive spare parts sales and achieve monthly targets.
• Manage stock levels, purchasing, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
• Monitor departmental performance, gross profit, and operating costs.
• Lead, train, and motivate the parts team.
• Ensure accurate processing of quotations, orders, invoices, and returns.
• Maintain compliance with operational procedures and stock control measures.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
