SPA THERAPIST
JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that guests are treated in accordance with standards and Red Carnation Hotel Service Standards; using every opportunity to maximize the guest wellness experience and in turn drive revenue with the aim of securing repeat business for the lodge.

ORGANISATIONAL POSITIONING:
- Department: Spa
- Reporting to: Spa Manager
- Location: The Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
- 1 year’s experience in a spa environment associated with the lodge, hotel or cruise industry. We will also consider applicants who have recently graduated.
- Highly presentable; maintaining health, hygiene and professional spa appearance.
- Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal communication skills.
- Able to work the lodge staff shift cycle of 24 days on and 8 days off.
ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION DESIRED:
- Previous proven Retail Sales experience.

- Being aware of the emergency evacuation, security and fire procedures of the lodge and to be constantly vigilant of the health, safety and security aspects; and reporting any risks to the Health and Safety Chairperson and/or General Manager.
- Actively seizing opportunities to minimise our carbon footprint by reducing wastage as much as possible without compromising on guest service standards.
- Being happy in your work environment, making constructive observations to improve working conditions, and maintaining a culture of teamwork and guest-oriented service.
To deliver on the Spa Guests’ expectations by:
- Performing spa treatments (body, skincare, massage, nails and waxing) in accordance with Spa treatment protocol on men and women.
- Maximising revenue-generating opportunities, whilst enhancing the guest service experience, through upselling, in accordance with outlet service journey.
- Setting up, maintaining and replenishing treatment rooms throughout shift ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with RCH standards.
