From therapeutic massages to cleansing facials and invigorating body treatments, each element of your spa visit is designed to stimulate the senses and nourish both body and mind.
Function

Join our dynamic team to create and deliver unforgettable Spa experiences. We are recruiting vibrant and enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude. Reporting to the Spa Management, successful candidates will manage the front desk/reception area, upsell and offer guests a wide range of Beauty, Body, Skin Therapy, and treatments, while maintaining the quality and standards of The Westin Cape Town in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures within a pressurized environment.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Recognised and relevant qualification in Body Skincare and Beauty Therapy is advantageous
  • At least 2 years of experience in a frontline role, such as Receptionist within a hospitality environment
  • People-centric with a strong focus on guest experience
  • Well-groomed appearance as per company standards
  • Professional disposition
  • Strong planning, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of Spa booking systems is advantageous
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to use initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail in area of responsibility
  • Willingness to work rostered shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and irregular hours as per operational requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to health, safety, and COVID protocols within the work environment
  • Assist in marketing spa revenue and retail products
  • Follow spa opening and closing procedures
  • Keep the front desk environment neat and tidy at all times
  • Manage guest arrivals and departures, and access control
  • Maintain service excellence and guest satisfaction standards
  • Maintain a float, make deposits, and report receipts daily
  • Control cash and perform daily reconciliations
  • Manage the booking system effectively
  • Assist with stock checks and manage stock levels
  • Coordinate with housekeeping regarding spa amenities
  • Order amenities as required
  • Complete administrative tasks efficiently
  • Assist with bookings and upselling
  • Maintain a professional appearance and hygiene standards
  • Keep workstations clean and organized before and after treatments
  • Perform additional duties as required
