To succeed in this role, you’ll need :
- Experience : Proven experience as SPA Manager or equivalent in the cruise industry, with successful team leadership and operational excellence.
- Language Skills : Fluency in English and at least two additional European languages, enabling effective communication with diverse guests.
- Expertise : Strong knowledge of spa therapies, beauty treatments, and wellness trends.
- Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Leadership : Experience motivating teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and service excellence.
Your Essentials
- Qualifications : Certification in spa, wellness, or hospitality management is highly desirable.
- Interpersonal Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Operational Skills : Proficiency in managing spa software, inventory, and budgets.
- Availability : Willingness to embark on long-term contracts at sea and adapt to onboard lifestyle.
- Passion : Genuine enthusiasm for wellness and delivering transformative guest experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively drive treatment delivery to meet targets by encouraging guests to purchase SPA services and products.
- Manage the daily operations of the SPA with initiative and creativity.
- Be on duty seven days a week, with hours varying according to itinerary.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before opening to ensure the premises are ready.
- Monitor staff services and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
- Assist with loading merchandise and managing storage in ports or other locations.
- Participate in duties such as stock control, SPA arrangements, and decor when SPA is closed.
- Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of all merchandise sold.
- Exercise care with all sale articles and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in English; fluency in at least two of the following languages: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Chinese. Additional languages are advantageous.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Spa Manager on a cruise ship.
- Beauty, Cosmetology, or Spa qualification or diploma.
- Strong PC skills (Word, Excel) and basic knowledge of Outlook or similar.
- Proven skills in accounting, marketing, and team leadership to meet new goals.
