Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications for the Learner Miner Learnership Programme at South Deep Gold Mine in Westonaria, South Africa.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be:

  • Residents of one of the host communities: Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, or Jachtfontein
    OR
  • Individuals who have successfully completed Grade 12 at a school situated in one of the above host communities.
  • Grade 12 (NQF 4) or N3 qualification (with two languages passed)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mining operation
  • Declared medically fit for the position and environment through a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre
  • Pass a Heat Tolerance Screening and other relevant suitability tests

  • Undergo technical training as prescribed by MQA/DMRE
  • Maintain performance in scheduled technical evaluations
