Key Responsibilities of the Sous Chef :
Support the smooth operation of the kitchen department, ensuring all aspects of the guest dining experience throughout the hotel meet high standards.
Proactively work to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, providing positive and timely responses to inquiries and resolving issues.
Implement plans and achieve objectives related to kitchen initiatives and hotel targets.
Manage the kitchen team, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance.
Oversee departmental budget, controlling costs and inventory, and ensuring productivity and performance levels are met.
Build and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders.
Review and analyze the performance of the food offerings, providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
Ensure adherence to legislation, planning, delivering, and documenting due diligence activities for internal and external audits.
Requirements of the Sous Chef :
Proven experience in a kitchen environment with excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong managerial skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
Commitment to exceptional guest service and a passion for hospitality.
Ability to offer creative solutions, advice, and recommendations.
Personal integrity and the ability to work in an environment demanding excellence, time, and energy.
Experience with IT systems across various platforms.
