Job description

Purpose : You strengthen Sandvik's competitive position by improving supply chain value and proactively supporting the Sourcing Regional Team. You will map, benchmark, evaluate, qualify, negotiate, and select external suppliers for parts and components across multiple categories. You will be trained on different procurement policies and procedures, supporting the Regional Sourcing Team throughout the entire acquisition process, including strategic and operational purchasing, in alignment with global directives and governance models set by Sandvik Group, Business Area, and Division. You will learn to follow performance indicators on regional suppliers to enable continuous improvement and value delivery. Collaboration with peers and stakeholders is essential, taking responsibility for the overall outcomes of your tasks. You will be an active member of the P&S Sourcing Team and collaborate across the organization.

Key Performance Areas include:

  • Developing and managing multiple suppliers in the region, involving key stakeholders in requirements determination, specifications, proposal review, negotiations, and relationship management.
  • Negotiating contracts and supporting global, regional, and local needs regarding suppliers.
  • Ensuring suppliers' performance in cost, availability, delivery, quality, and reliability.
  • Ensuring suppliers' adherence to Sandvik policies and procedures (NDA, ABC, Trade Compliance, Contracts).

You will manage supplier relationships, leverage capabilities, uncover value, and mitigate risks. Mapping business needs and developing sourcing strategies collaboratively are key responsibilities, ensuring procurement decisions support stakeholder needs. You will prioritize sourcing tasks to meet deadlines, act proactively, and possess strong analytical skills. Your role includes problem-solving, process improvement, stakeholder management, and fostering strong team relationships to drive results and cost-effective, value-added solutions.

Your negotiation skills are highly developed.

Profile requirements include:
  • Minimum education: Degree or equivalent in business, engineering, or supply chain discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain environment, specifically in Mechanical Components such as engines or hydraulics.
  • Negotiation and Strategic Sourcing expertise.
  • Experience in supplier account management.
  • Ability to travel regionally and globally (~20%).
  • Advanced Excel and Data Analysis skills.
  • SAP 4 Hana experience.
  • Knowledge or exposure to Power BI reporting.
  • Experience working in a complex matrix organization.
