Sourcing Specialist

Our client is looking for a high caliber Sourcing Specialist in Cape Town.

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

1. In partnership with Sourcing Leadership, define the client supplier strategy, including management and optimization of supplier commodities.
2. Leading negotiations, awarding business, and achieving cost reduction goals.
3. Negotiating terms and conditions and transmitting information to internal end-users and the PO team at client.
4. Being the escalation point for supply/material shortages.
5. Supplier risk reduction through the development of new and secondary backup suppliers.
6. Commercial sourcing management such as supplier data analysis, data cleanup, etc. This may also include occasional purchasing activities.
7. Supporting compliance through education and enforcement of client sourcing & procurement policies.
8. Contributing to projects as a team member or leading projects.
9. Resolving supplier-related problems including payments, terms, performance, etc.
