About You

You’re a sourcing sleuth and import pro who thrives in fast-paced chaos, but somehow makes it look easy. Negotiating fair deals? Sorted. Spreadsheets are your playground, details never escape you, and suppliers know you won’t stop until everything’s on track.

This is not a passive role, you’re a self-starter who takes ownership, drives results, and ensures nothing slips through the cracks. With the charm to build strong relationships, the focus to keep every order running smoothly, and the drive to deliver before anyone else even realizes there’s a problem, you’re the one people can count on.

Responsibilities

Supplier Sourcing & Relationship Management

  • Identify and engage with new suppliers in China and internationally.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and terms with suppliers.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers and ensure expectations are clear.
  • Conduct supplier assessments to ensure reliability, quality, and compliance.

Order Management & Import Coordination

  • Place orders with suppliers and have the ability to strongly negotiate for best possible pricing, lead times and terms with international suppliers
  • Proactively flag any delays, risks, or issues and propose solutions.

Product & Sample Management

  • Source products in line with business requirements, including quality, cost, and profitability.
  • Track and manage samples, ensuring timely evaluation and approval.
  • Work closely with the imports administrator to Compare quotes, costs, and shipping options to determine the most cost-effective and efficient route.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports and updates on orders, supplier communications, costings, lead times and supplier performance.
  • Ensure data is meticulous, up-to-date, and easily accessible for decision-making.

Administration & Multitasking

  • Handle multiple projects, orders, and suppliers simultaneously.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Support ad-hoc projects requiring research, supplier outreach, and administrative support.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or import coordination with China or international suppliers.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills; familiarity with inventory systems or procurement software is a plus.
  • Understanding of international shipping, customs, and logistics.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Takes ownership and drives tasks to completion without constant supervision.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meets tight deadlines, and manages multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in data, cost tracking, and order management.
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Finds solutions independently, adapts quickly to changes, and thrives under pressure.
  • Maintains composure, follows up relentlessly, and navigates challenges effectively.
  • Able to quickly understand new products, processes, and systems.
