Job description

THE JOB AT A GLANCE

You will provide overall support to the category team while growing your procurement experience and technical skills for a future career in sourcing. You will assist in administering RFX processes, system contracts, supply queries from sites, and maintaining key category data (e.g., approved vendor listing, contracts, BEE data). You will gain a detailed understanding of your commodity characteristics and Tiger Brands' business needs to identify new procurement value opportunities aligned with the Commodity Strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Conduct selected Tiger Brands RFQ’s on Zycus under guidance from the Category Manager.
  • Engage in supplier discussions for contracts and NDAs with support from the Commodity Manager.
  • Assist in budget setting with support from the Commodity Manager.
  • Gain exposure to other procurement functions/categories such as Finance, Directs, Indirects.
  • Load quarterly pricing into the system, ensure site awareness, and reflect correct & agreed prices.
  • Ensure data accuracy on Oracle.
  • Handle pricing queries and resolve PPV’s.
  • Resolve accounts payable queries.
  • Perform spend data analysis.
  • Work within procurement policies and procedures.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and administrative support for the Sourcing Manager.
  • Maintain BBBEE (and EPR where applicable) certificates and reporting.
  • Track and collate specifications for MSA, CI, and NDA.
  • Coordinate supplier audits with Quality.
  • Complete commodity ZBM’s (manual and Oracle) and update system contracts/quotations.
  • Maintain key category data within procurement databases, including specifications, MOQ’s, lead times, cover positions, etc., and track savings and contracts.
  • Manage vendor listing data in the vendor portal, including supplier info, AVL status, BEE status, contract status, certifications, and pricing data.
  • Maintain and resolve system pricing queries from sites, including pricing of new items.

• CIPS qualification is beneficial.
