Job description

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate sound equipment for live performances and events On Board Cruise Ship

- Conduct sound checks and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal sound quality

- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with sound equipment during performances

- Collaborate with performers and other crew members to ensure a seamless and successful show

- Maintain and repair sound equipment as needed

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in sound technology

- Train and supervise other crew members in sound operation

- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating sound equipment

- Assist with other technical aspects of performances and events as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma, Sound tech degree or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sound Technician, preferably in a live performance setting

- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a variety of sound equipment, including mixers, microphones, speakers, and amplifiers

- Strong knowledge of sound engineering principles and techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring is a plus
