Sonata UAT Test Analyst

Sonata UAT Test Analyst required in Johannesburg.

The UAT Test Analyst will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting user acceptance tests to ensure the successful implementation of Sonata software solutions.

The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, and test teams to validate system functionality, identify issues, and drive quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business requirements.
• Execute UAT test cases and document test results, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify, log, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for resolution.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Validate Sonata software functionality against business processes and compliance requirements.
• Support business users in executing UAT and provide guidance on test procedures.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency within the Sonata system through rigorous testing.
• Work closely with IT and project teams to resolve system issues and ensure seamless deployment.
• Document test findings, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as a UAT Test Analyst in financial services.
• Sonata Software Expertise: Hands-on experience testing Sonata software solutions.
• Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of UAT best practices, defect management, and test automation tools.
• Process Knowledge: Familiarity with investment and policy administration systems.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret requirements, create test scenarios, and ensure system accuracy.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills to collaborate with business users and technical teams.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and commitment to delivering high-quality testing outcomes.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in policy administration platforms and financial services technology solutions.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools and techniques.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is an advantage.
