SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (EXPERT) - ANSIBLE AUTOMATION ARCHITECT

Contract Duration: Aug 2025 – Dec 2027 (Renewal based on performance/project availability)

Location: Menlyn, Hybrid model

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with expertise in Ansible automation to join our dynamic team. As our Ansible Automation Architect, you will design and implement scalable automation architectures, develop automation strategies, and provide technical leadership across our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement scalable automation architectures using Ansible, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices
• Develop and execute automation strategies to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery
• Provide technical leadership on Ansible best practices, architecture, and implementation strategies
• Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning
• Develop custom Ansible modules and plugins to extend functionality for specific automation requirements
• Monitor and optimize performance of Ansible automation processes
• Create comprehensive documentation for automation processes and best practices
• Ensure automation solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for automation issues
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate the value of automation initiatives

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in Ansible core concepts (playbooks, roles, modules, inventory management)
• Experience with Ansible Tower or AWX for managing and scaling automation
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Terraform, Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional team collaboration
• Documentation and training skills for knowledge sharing
• Strong analytical skills for identifying automation opportunities
• 8+ years' experience in an architectural role
• On-premises and virtualization technology expertise in Ansible Automation
• Red Hat Certification
• Experience in testing (especially automated testing)
