Solutions Analyst

Job Title : Specialist Solution Analyst

We are seeking a Specialist Solution Analyst to act as a bridge between data analytics and data engineering within the Global Markets Data Analytics team.

This role ensures the smooth product ionization of analytical solutions, promotes standardization, and drives best practices across teams.

About the Team & Project : The team supports Global Markets by enhancing data quality and managing sources like Mopani, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, and others to power trading analytics. The project focuses on aligning analytics and engineering efforts to streamline scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Define and document data engineering standards (code, calculations, asset definitions)
2. Create templates, checklists, and procedures for handovers and feedback loops
3. Maintain and standardize a centralized list of data assets
4. Review and approve analytics solutions before handoff to engineering
5. Develop comprehensive documentation for all productionized solutions
6. Support analysts with educational resources, workshops, and technical guidance
7. Drive continuous improvement in workflows, tooling, and team collaboration
8. Provide hands-on support as needed, including taking on analyst tasks

Education & Experience :

1. Bachelor's / master's in computer science, Engineering, or Data Analytics
2. 5+ years in data analytics, data engineering, or software development
3. Strong Global Markets experience and knowledge of financial products

Technical Skills :

1. Python & SQL for data processing and scalable coding (5+ years)
2. API integrations and data connectors
3. Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP; experience deploying cloud solutions
4. Data visualization with tools like Streamlit, QuickSight

Soft Skills :

1. Strong communicator; able to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
2. Excellent documentation, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement
3. Detail-oriented, adaptable, and continuous learner

Beneficial Skills :

1. Statistics & ML / AI : Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, and statistical analysis
2. Knowledge of deep learning, AI techniques, and predictive modeling
