Our client in the global professional services industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect – Mining Applications to provide architectural guidance, design, and integration of technology solutions that meet business requirements.

The role involves technical advisory, solution design, and ensuring compliance with security and industry standards.

What you will do:

1. Develop robust, scalable, and high-performance Java-based applications.
2. Architectural guidance: Lead the selection and design of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and technology roadmaps.
3. Design review and quality assurance: Conduct design reviews, maintain compliance with existing standards, and perform quality assurance tasks.
4. Stakeholder engagement: Work with stakeholders to gather detailed functional and non-functional requirements and document them in the requirements traceability matrix.
5. Solution design: Develop high-level and low-level solution designs, including architectural diagrams and technology component selection.
6. Architecture development: Design robust architectures that align with industry best practices and future business needs.
7. Integration planning: Define integration strategies, create interface design specifications, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
8. Technology evaluation: Assess third-party products and solutions for integration into the architecture.
9. Security & compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to industry security standards and compliance requirements.
10. Performance & scalability: Conduct non-functional requirement (NFR) analysis to assess solution performance and scalability.
11. Cost estimation: Provide cost estimates for technology solutions, including hardware, software, licensing, and maintenance.
12. Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance guides.
13. Industry knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations, providing thought leadership in mining technology solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2. 10+ years of practical experience in Solution Architecture.
3. Certification in TOGAF ADM v10 and ArchiMate modelling language v3.2.
4. Experience with Enterprise Architecture repositories, including Orbus Infinity and iServer.
5. In-depth knowledge of converged infrastructure (HP, Dell, Nutanix).
6. Expertise across infrastructure stacks (LAN, WAN, Security, Data Centers).
7. Experience with backup & recovery technologies (Site Recovery Manager) and data center migrations.
8. Networking certifications preferred (CCIE, CCNP, CCDP, or CCNA).
9. Cloud computing expertise across Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
10. Strong technical advisory, solution planning, and documentation skills.
11. Deep understanding of mining processes, systems, and tools.
12. Bilingual (French and English) preferred.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
14. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
15. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
16. Proven ability to drive technology strategy and innovation within the mining sector.
