About the Role

Our client, a dynamic consulting firm located in Centurion, Gauteng, ZA , is seeking a highly motivated Solution Architect - Digital Transformation . This role is critical in guiding clients through their digital modernization journeys, from conceptualization to execution. You will be responsible for designing innovative and scalable technology solutions that address complex business challenges. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both C-level executives and technical teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping new business opportunities and delivering transformative projects. As a contractor, you will bring specialized expertise to client engagements, contributing to significant architectural decisions and implementations. Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of comprehensive technology solutions for digital transformation initiatives. Engage with clients to understand their business needs, challenges, and strategic objectives. Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and methodologies. Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and business analysts. Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams. Conduct architectural reviews and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in digital transformation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on digital transformation. Proven experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions. Strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, and data analytics. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and build consensus. Experience in pre-sales or client-facing roles is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
