Job summary

A leading technology firm in South Africa is seeking a South African Solution Architect to drive the Service Evolution Strategy in the Johannesburg-based MS department. This role is pivotal in translating complex business requirements into functional realities within a live Tier-1 Telecom environment. Candidates must possess deep telecommunications expertise, a strong background in service evolution, and experience in designing new products for a production environment. Only South African citizens will be considered for this position.

Qualifications

• Deep telecommunications domain expertise in Billing, Charging, CRM and Order Management.
• Proven experience in Service Evolution: designing new features and products for a live production environment.
• Mastery of producing HLDs, FDS & Sequence Diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of integration protocols (REST, SOAP, Diameter) and API-driven design.
• Experience in a Managed Services or Vendor environment is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary architectural bridge between customer Business Analysts and Huawei R&D/Operations teams.
• Lead the Service Evolution of BSS platforms by designing new product offerings, discount structures and promotional logic.
• Produce high quality FDS and FRS that map business needs to system capabilities.
• Create detailed sequence diagrams and integration specifications for new feature rollouts.
• Ensure the integrity of the E2E BSS business flows: CRM, Billing and Charging as the system evolves.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to elicit requirements and define 'To-Be' customer journeys.
