We’re recruiting on behalf of a Sandton-based client looking for a hands-on and detail-driven Proposals Engineer with experience in the solar energy sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing renewable energy company focused on delivering innovative solar solutions across South Africa.

Job & Company Description:
As a Proposals Engineer, you’ll be responsible for compiling accurate and compelling technical and commercial proposals for solar PV projects. You’ll work closely with the engineering, sales, and project teams to interpret client requirements, prepare detailed quotations, optimize system designs, and ensure that all proposals align with both technical feasibility and client expectations.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience in preparing proposals or cost estimates for solar PV or renewable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of solar system components, layouts, and performance modeling
- Proficient in tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and Excel
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and client specifications
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication and presentation skills

We Will Also Consider:
- Electrical Engineers with a passion for renewable energy and strong commercial acumen
- Junior Engineers with solar experience and a willingness to grow into a proposals role
