Solar Inverter Account Manager, South Africa

Department: EasyBuy Direct Sales

Reporting To: Solar Inverter Business Manager, Gauteng

Job Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

About the role: The Solar Inverter Account Manager at Sun King will effectively plan, organize, coordinate and control the overall activities within the sales team to achieve set objectives around volume, gross profit, credit extensions to customers and growth.

The Incumbent will be a key driver in the execution of the Inverter Easy Buy strategy for Sun King.

What you would be expected to do:

  1. Meet or exceed KPI targets of volume, gross profits, costs and credit applicable to the sales territory.
  2. Ensure implementation of market space strategies affecting the customers.
  3. Contribute to and implement global strategies.
  4. Work closely with the Call Centre to ensure that customers are vetted and the sales process is completed.
  5. Provide timeous input into the forecasting cycles through the Sales Manager and procurement, ensuring adequate inventory for the customer base.
  6. Maintain strong customer relationships and develop new relationships.
  7. Maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  8. Ensure that all queries and complaints received from customers are expeditiously attended to and resolved in the areas of orders, deliveries and credit vetting.
  9. Grow the market in the property development sector.
  10. Monitor and analyze the market and competitor behavior; and act upon this as appropriate in order to safeguard performance levels in collaboration with the Sales Manager and the Marketing team.
  11. Ensure timeous submission of expense reports.
  12. Collaborate with sales, product, operations, and other teams to monitor product performance.

You might be a strong candidate if you have:

  1. A Degree or Diploma in business administration, engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
  2. Proficiency with modern statistical analysis and data visualization software.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in technical sales.
  4. Experience within the electrical and solar industry.
  5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
