We’re recruiting on behalf of a Centurion-based client looking for a technically strong and hands-on Solar Design Engineer with proven experience in commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV systems. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a dynamic role where your design expertise will directly impact high-value energy projects across the country.

Job & Company Description:
As a Solar Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing efficient and cost-effective grid-tied and hybrid solar PV systems for commercial and industrial clients. From rooftop and ground-mounted systems to battery-integrated solutions, your work will support business-critical energy needs. You'll conduct site assessments, create technical layouts, perform energy yield simulations, and collaborate with sales and project teams to deliver optimal solutions that meet both technical standards and client expectations.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 2+ years’ experience in designing C&I solar PV systems
- Proficient in PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and Excel
- Solid understanding of grid requirements, system sizing, and design codes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, client specs, and electrical schematics
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach

We Will Also Consider:
- Electrical Engineers or Technologists with a focus on C&I solar applications
- Candidates actively working towards ECSA registration
- Junior Engineers with relevant solar software skills and on-site exposure
