Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Liaison avec les clients pour déterminer leurs besoins.
• Développement de plans de réhabilitation et évaluation des besoins en fertilisation.
• Gestion de l'implémentation des projets, rédaction de rapports et suivi des budgets.

Soil Scientist / Agronomist

Reference: PTA-BVJ-1

Our client, an environmental projects company, is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Soil Scientist / Agronomist in the Technical Business Unit located in Irene.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. BSc Honors or Masters in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, Pasture Science, or Biology.
2. At least three years' experience as an Agricultural / Agronomist / Environmental or Soil Scientist Consultant.
3. Report writing experience and skills.
4. Beneficial: Previous experience in an Agricultural or Mining consulting environment.
5. Proven experience in the analysis and interpretation of soil quality parameters.
6. Ability to pass medicals, induction, and training certifications.
7. Ability to execute fieldwork and physical manual labor associated with fieldwork for extended periods outdoors.
8. Willingness to travel locally and abroad occasionally.
9. Valid passport required.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Client liaison to determine needs and provide feedback.
2. Develop and present solutions, proposals, and implementation plans, including:

• Development of rehabilitation plans
• Evaluation of fertilizer needs from soil analysis
• Soil classification
• Plant identification
• Crop and pasture management plans
• Rehabilitation and soil impact assessments
• Soil conservation and management plans
• Project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation

Manage project implementation, including report writing, work delegation, and budget management.

Verify and report on project progress and financial performance.

Promote and create awareness of services provided by the company.

Extended fieldwork.
