Software Tester (Manual and Automation) – Centurion.

This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions through a combination of manual and automated testing methods.

The successful candidate will participate in the software development lifecycle, identifying bugs, verifying fixes, and contributing to the improvement of testing strategies.

Salary: R30 000 per month.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed test cases, plans, and documentation based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to understand software behavior and specifications.
• Identify, log, and verify software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Implement and manage automated tests using testing tools and frameworks.
• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing and recommend system improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
• Stay updated on the latest software testing trends, tools, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to support quality assurance goals.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in both manual and automated software testing.
• Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Familiarity with version control and bug tracking systems.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• ISTQB certification or similar qualification is advantageous.
