Software Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Software Team Leader to oversee software and IT strategies, ensuring systems effectively support company operations and objectives. This role involves architectural design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of custom applications and software solutions. The goal is to maximize IT’s value to the business.

You will report to the Chief of Staff, focusing on integrating technology with core business functions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Close collaboration with Improvement and Optimization teams is essential to identify pain points and develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop objectives, policies, and strategies for software and IT operations.
2. Select and implement technology to streamline operations and optimize business benefits.
3. Design and customize systems to enhance customer experience.
4. Hire, develop, manage, and evaluate IT resources.
5. Oversee software development projects and ensure timely execution.
6. Monitor technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
7. Analyze cost, value, and risk of IT/software to provide strategic recommendations.
8. Address service issues and complaints from stakeholders.
9. Build and manage relationships with internal teams and external providers.
10. Facilitate project scopes and ensure successful completion.
11. Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience in software development.
3. 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
4. Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, React.
5. Experience with AWS (DynamoDB, Cognito, CloudFront, CloudFormations, Lambda, Redis), Quickbase, Zapier, Wuroo, ZenDesk, Teams.
6. Expertise in developing, testing, deploying, supporting, and maintaining custom applications.
7. Proven ability to manage projects within budgets and timelines.
8. Experience leading teams responsible for critical technical systems.
9. Strong understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
